Hi guys,
So hopefully you should all be halfway through filming with the aim to get a first edit/rough cut completed for your mid production screening on the 17th December!
Your rough cut only needs to be an initial layout of how you want your music video to look when it's finally done.
Don't worry too much about special effects/titles/colour grading etc… until you have gained your audience feedback as that will be something you should focus on towards the end.
BLOG POST WE EXPECT TO SEE:
- Media Studies BFI Trip - what you learnt/how this will help you in your own video.
- Canon XF100 Tutorial
- Animatic
- Shooting schedule/call lists/risk assessments for every shoot (these are vital)
- Digipak/Website photo-shoot pictures.
- Digipak/Website research and analysis - you should be continuing your initial research in to existing websites and digipaks and analysing them.
- Posts after every shoot - what went well? Did you experience any obstacles? What could you improve for your next shoot?
Finally, make sure you are consistently looking over the evaluation questions (in your production packs and on the evaluation help sheet we gave you) so that you can modify/update your blog to help you when you get to the evaluation stage. This is crucial and will be very helpful in the long run.
The Media Studies Team.
